Athanasia Kanellopoulou
Senior Programme Administrator
Athanasia is a biologist, with multidisciplinary graduate studies in Developmental Genetics, EU Law and Communications for Development.
Since 2006 she has been serving in positions of increasing responsibility at EU institutions and agencies, as well as a Brussels-based NGO, focusing in the management of EU Scientific Committees and the provision and coordination of scientific advice on human health and the environment at EU level.
At the end of 2022 Athanasia joined KR21’s team, where she is supporting the day-to-day function of the programme.

Laura da Silva
European Affairs Lead
Laura is based in Brussels, where she advocates change in EU copyright legislation on behalf of KR21.
In the course of the past decade, Laura acquired a deep knowledge and experience in European public affairs by working first in the think tank sector and later as a freelance public affairs consultant for the non-profit and NGO sector. She guided her clients through the corridors of the European institutions, helping them advocate for policy changes in areas such as foreign affairs and food policy.
Laura holds a bachelor degree in Political Sciences and a Master degree in International Relations from the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
